There are a number of parts to A Day in the Life. The first section relates to Dyan Mill, County Tyrone, where Home & Dry started. This is a privately owned industrial complex only open by arrangement. This clip from the RTE Nationwide programme was shot in 2001 as the huge metal wheel turned for the first time in fifty years, following reinstatement of the watercourse. There is an interview with the owner.
Other sections provide practical demonstrations of working with old buildings and show craftspeople at work, eg. thatching at Mayglass, County Wexford. Another section, taken from a Northern Visions Television programme features interviews with people involved in the restoration of a building in College Green, Belfast.   This listed building was restored by Hearth which is a building preservation trust. There are interviews with the Director of Hearth, the architect for the scheme, the builder and finally, a tenant’s reaction as he moves into the completed building
